About The Community State Bank

The Community State Bank, formerly Poteau State Bank, was formed in 1970 when a few local businessman saw the need for an additional bank in Poteau. The Community State Bank has maintained its corporate office in Poteau while establishing branches in Spiro, Wister, Caboose, and the Wal-Mart Super Center in Poteau. The Community State Bank assumes an active role in the communities across the country. We take part in functions such as the Jr. Livestock Auction, National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, March of Dimes, PASA, American Red Cross, Phil Gardenhire Rodeo, the Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July celebration, local ball teams, and scholarships for higher education.

Following the philosophy of majority owners, Bob and Deanna Reed, the bank feels it has a responsibility to give something back to the communities it serves.

To Quote the bank president, Larry Spradley, "Banking with neighbors' is more than just a slogan, it's who we are."
